When Karl Lagerfeld announced he would unveil Chanel’s Resort 2015 collection in Dubai, we already knew it was going to be anything but ordinary. He created a desert fashion spectacle to remember–hosting it at a remote island off the coast of Dubai where a gold-and-glass structure stood with a roof supported by artificial palm trees.
The collection was a romantic idea, complete from layering tunics with pajamalike pants to Arabic paving stones and tiles from the 11th and 12th century that inspired graphic motifs on flimsy scarves. Even colourful embroideries on a swing coat.
