The autumn/winter collections are by far my favorite! Mostly because the palette is a lot darker (lots of greys, and navy’s and blacks!) and the outerwear is always spectacular. Fashion month may have just begun, but New York Fashion Week has ended and we’ve moved on to London. But before we can all indulge in what the Brits have to offer, I thought I’d share my favorite looks from the NY shows.
A bit risque, a bit Rihanna-esque! This dress is literally the only thing that stood out for me from Jason Wu’s line. I just love the layering of the fabrics that fail to become opaque–I mean, who doesn’t love a little sheer black dress?
I’m OBSESSED with this coat! It’s grungy yet glamorous–if that’s even a possibility. And those ultralong boots made of shiny shiny leather make for the perfect pairing.
This look reminds me of the brash, glitz and the good times of the eighties. The soft leather pants in mahogany paired with clogs and a vintage-looking blazer is perfection.
I want to see someone wearing this on the red carpet. It’s fun and flirty and just incredibly pretty to look at.
I loved that Marc Jacob’s collection mixed ready-to-wear with luxe couture. This skirt alone would’ve been cute, but that fur cropped coat really ups the ensemble as a whole.
It was promised that Peter Coping would be respectful, and stay true to Oscar’s legacy for his debut collection for the fashion house. But at the same time, he stay trued to his own sophisticated sense of romance with an intriguing moody colour sense and subtle sense of whimsy. It was just stunning, and incredibly impressive!
