A Very ’90s Black Dress

’90s fashion was both a hit and a miss in my opinion. But if there’s one article of clothing that the era really mastered, it would be its dresses. If you don’t recall, just watch an episode of Friends and you’ll be all caught up on the trends. And yes, I often draw inspiration from Rachel Green’s (played by Jennifer Aniston) wardrobe and thought I’d share a look today featuring a dress that was sent to me from designer Olga Pastyrnak.

Dress, Olga Pastyrnak; heels and clutch, Topshop; rings, bracelet, sunglasses, Kate Spade; necklace, Lili Claspe.

Dubbed the Casey Dress, it fits like a glove and is incredibly comfortable, which is a total win in my books. While the dress is mid-length, the tulip-shaped hem lets you show off some leg in a subtle manor.

I styled this dress with a sense of occasion in mind as it’s quite versatile and can easily be taken from an office day look to a night out on the town. My obsession with florals continues so it should come as no surprise I chose embroidered block-heels and a matching clutch for this look. Oh, and oversized round sunnies for a dramatic effect.

I’ve always been a fan of the simple straight neckline. It’s flattering, easy to wear and best of all, you can go braless!
