It has been a bizarre couple of months, hasn’t it? Not being able to leave your home or see your friends or make any human contact really. It has also been kind of nice to stay home and do things you normally wouldn’t have time to do, like bake or read or catch up on your favourite TV shows.
I’ve been trying really hard to just stay positive during this time, especially since the whole lockdown has put a halt on my job search. I can’t help but wonder if quitting my previous job was a bad idea. Should I have just stuck it out even though I was unhappy? The answer is obviously no. It’s a tough time for everyone and I’m finding solace in knowing that.
I’m so grateful to be able to afford to be unemployed during this time. Plus, I am really enjoying spending more time with Mabel, my kitty. I’m also crossing off my extensive “to be read” list. If you need book recommendations, check out my YouTube video here.
Aside from reading, binging Netflix and cuddles with my kitty, I’ve fallen in love with painting watercolours. Shayda Campbell’s YouTube channel has some great tutorials if you’re interested in taking up a new hobby.
I hope you all are keeping safe and sane during this time, which is easier said than done. Hopefully things will go back to normal at some point this summer, but until then, try to find gratitude in the little things. I know for me, putting on a dress and some makeup always puts me in a positive mood. Hope to bring you more fashion content soon. Take care.
