And just like that, another year has come and gone. I am beyond thrilled 2020 is over and am very hopeful for this new year we have been blessed with. It was a year of many many lows and a some highs, but I don’t want to focus on that. I want to start this year by focusing on the good and what the future may have in store.
Presently, I am healthy, surrounded by loved ones and am learning to find happiness in the smallest of things. Whether that be a cuddle session with Mabel, binging a Netflix show or cooking a cosy meal with my husband. If there’s anything 2020 has taught me, it’s that gratitude is the only thing that will get you through the hard times.
One of my goals for this year is to get back into creating new content. I’ve truly missed styling new looks and photographing them. I’m feeling a lot more inspired, which is a feeling I have missed.
For my first post of 2021, I want to share a cosy winter look that isn’t all black for once! I’ve definitely been embracing muted and pastel hues – even in the colder months, which is new for me. As much as I love my all-black aesthetic, I’m beginning to push my boundaries of tolerating colour year-round.
Here, I’ve paired a sage green sweater from & Other Stories with light-washed jeans from Mango, a wrap coat from Zara and my new Polène numéro un nano bag.
I ordered this bag before I moved back to Canada this past summer, as a little parting gift to myself. I just love the terracota colour with the exposed stitching because it’s still neutral enough to be paired with most outfits while still being unique.
For footwear, I went with these & Other Stories boots, which made walking down this trail without slipping very difficult. Not the best choice for winter but still cute with this outfit and super comfortable to walk in despite the heel.
