Emmy’s Best Dressed Ladies

Televisions’ best walked the red carpet at last night’s Emmy Awards and this year’s fashion did not disappoint–minus Lena Dunham’s atrocious pick. Does she own a mirror?

I present to you, the five ladies who dazzled in the most elegant manor.

MTIxNDI3Mjk1NTA1NTgxNTgxKristen Wiig took the minimal route this year and she looked stunning. This custom Vera Wang dress proves that less is actually more.

MTIxNDI3Mjk1NTA0ODYwNjg1Downton Abbey star Michelle Dockery also kept it simple this time around in this gorgeous dress by emerging designer Rosie Assoulin. The cut, the colours; perfection.

MTIzMDQ5NjY0MDUzNDEzMzg4Lizzy Caplan emerged a swan at last night’s ceremony donning a Donna Karan Atelier gown on the red carpet. Could she be any more beautiful?

MTE5NTU2MzI0MDE2MjkzMzg3Taylor Schilling ditched her Orange is the New Black jumpsuit for this beaded Zuhair Murad number. Love it!

MTIxNDI3Mjk1NTA3NTQ3NjYxKiernan Shipka brought her lady-game in this structural silver Antonio Berardi dress. Very age appropriate.

Cheers To The Kate Moss Coupe

MTIxNDI3Mjk1NDAxOTAzNjI5

Legend has it that round champagne coupes were shaped after the supposedly perfect breasts of Marie Antoinette. Now, after centuries of drinking from the same bust, we’re getting an update–and it’s a good one!

Kate Moss has graciously offered up her boobs as the new model. Made from London’s 34 restaurant, the resulting glass is meant to fête Moss’s 40th birthday and 25th anniversary in the fashion industry. British artist Jane McAdam Freud took a mould of Moss’s left breast for the glass, which also features her signature at the base.

In a release, Moss says she was excited to be involved with the project and to be alongside Marie Antoinette, “a very intriguing and mischievous character.”

So if you want to cop a feel, you can do so by ordering a glass of champagne at 34 or its sister restaurants, The Ivy, Daphne’s, Scott’s and The Club at The Ivy starting October 9.

Cheers!

Vogue puts models on its September 2014 Issue

MTE5NTU2MzIzODczMjkzODM1

American fashion magazines all make a big play for its September issue; scoring someone pretty major to don the cover. The most anticipated of them all is obviously Vogue, which normally picks the highest profile celebrities–Jennifer Lawrence covered September 2013.

However this year, the revealed cover stars are not your run-of-the-mill celebrities. They’re models!

The pull out cover features Arizona Muse, Edie Campbell, Imaan Hammam, Fei Fei Sun, Vanessa Axente and Andreea Diaconu in addition to the main cover image featuring Joan Smalls, Cara Delevingne and Karlie Kloss.

These “Instagirls” may not fit the traditional definition of a celebrity, but they will definitely help Vogue sell the most copies. I mean Cara Delevingne alone has over six million Instagram followers. I think it’s safe to say she’s hit celebrity status.

Sidewalk Star Taylor Swift

Summer 2014 in New York has been all about Taylor Swift’s daily looks. I literally scroll through my Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr feed each day to see what the Red singer is donning. Not only are her outfits on point, but the accessorizing is simply perfection. Now, I know summer isn’t over yet therefore there are plenty more street style looks to come from Ms. Swift, but I couldn’t help to do a quick post on my favorite looks thus far.

Matchy-Matchy

swift1This patterned crop top and matching skirt is to die for. No wonder she picked up the same in two different shades!

The Granny-Print

050914-taylor-swift-16-567Everyone needs a granny-printed dress in their wardrobe–both for summer and fall seasons. It’s like an LBD but snazzier!

Hamptons Hottie

070114-taylor-swift-street-style-594The outfit is obviously perfect, but what I’m really loving is her pushed back, beach waved, almost wet hair. She’s so ready for a trip to the Hamptons.

Dolled-Up In Dots

070714-taylor-swift-6-567Flaunting her favorite summer accessory, her perfectly toned tummy, Taylor makes this bralette + skirt combo look extremely classy.

The Jumpsuit

An ‘unretouched and unfiltered’ Vanessa Hudgens for Bongo

large4Vanessa Hudgens stars in the new Bongo fashion campaign that is Photoshop-free, showing the actress in her au-natural glory.

The latest ads feature the 25-year-old star posing in printed dresses and high-waist jeans alongside the words ‘100 per cent all natural. Unretouched and unfiltered. This is the real Vanessa Hudgens.’

In a press release announcing the campaign, she said “The clothes make me feel carefree and confident, which is why I love that the final ad images are unretouched.”

large“It’s so important for girls to remember that real beauty shines from within, and I’m so proud that Bongo is choosing to send such a positive message with this campaign.”

This is Hudgens’ second season as the face of Bongo–she replaced the former campaign star Ashley Benson in January.
