October Favourites 2015

October is hands down my favourite month. And for good reason – the leaves start to fall, the weather becomes a little chilly, and then there’s fall fashion of course. But this month was a good month for skin care, lip care, and just a bunch of other random things that I simply adore. Here’s what I’ve been loving lately!

DSC_0009Fresh is one of my favourite brands when it comes to skin and lip treatment. The Sugar Lemon body lotion not only smells like heaven, it leaves your skin thoroughly moisturized without any leftover residue. As for the Sugar lip balm, I swear by it!

hope in a jarDSC_0010 Finding the perfect face moisturizer to suit your skin’s needs is a tough one. Cue Philosophy’s Renewed Hope In A Jar for dry skin. It’s literally magic. I’ve only been using this for a month, (I had the original hope in a jar before this) and have already seen a major difference in my skin. Goodbye flakiness!

burberryI emptied my LancΓ΄me foundation after a year and a half of use, so I decided to switch brands. Although I loved the former, I wanted something a bit more moisturizing for the cold weather ahead. Burberry’s Fresh Glow Fluid Foundation in the colour “honey” matches my skin perfectly, and feels incredibly light. With that being said, you can definitely build up on it for a fuller coverage.

As for the blush, I like that the mosaic palette gives you the option to build up the shade you’re feeling.

DSC_0026It’s no secret that Patrick Ness is one of my all time favourite authors. So when he released his latest book The Rest Of Us Just Live Here, I had to give it a priority read. And boy was it good. It’s a rather bold and irreverent novel that powerfully reminds us that there are many different types of remarkable. So if you’re not the “chosen one”, it’s totally okay. Because most of us aren’t. We’re just living here.
