How To Wear Pantone’s 2017 Colour Of The Year

When it comes to wearing colour, I gravitate more towards deep greens and blues. So, you can only imagine how unimpressed I was when Pantone announced its 2017 colour of the year as a tangy yellow-green.

Dubbed Greenery, the bright hue was chosen in the hopes to refresh, reinvent, and reinvigorate the spirit as we ring in the new year. As much as I love the inspiration behind it, I just don’t think it’s as wearable, or the best choice to be incorporated into your home for that matter.

With that being said, a handful of designers like Michael Kors, Max Mara, and Mary Katrantzou had the foresight to thread the Greenery shade throughout their spring 2017 collections (see above). It doesn’t look horrible, but I’d prefer the shade in small doses like in accessories or workout wear.

Here are my picks if you’re looking to incorporate this year’s colour into your wardrobe (or makeup routine).
