My Very First Facial

Okay, I know this sounds crazy but I just recently had my very first facial ever and it was life changing. Why did I wait this long to get one? Well, I have very sensitive skin and so when it comes to trying new treatments or even skin care products, I’m quite hesitant.

While I have pretty good skin, I decided it was time I actually started taking care of it and learn a little bit more about skin care. I chose Starlight Med Spa for my very first facial based on a recommendation. It was founded by Kaye and Jessica who have been in the medical esthetics and spa industry for many years now AND, they both have the most beautiful skin I’ve ever seen.

After looking at my skin and a thorough questionnaire, Jessica recommended I do the HydraFacial MD® Treatment. It’s designed to improve overall skin health, but also excellent for remedying fine lines & wrinkles, large pores, acne, pigmentation, oily & congested skin, skin tone and evenness.

This is a 6 in 1 treatment that vortex cleanses, vortex peels, vortex extracts, vortex boosts, vortex fuses, and protects the skin. And during all of that, they put this cool mask on you at some point that makes you look as though you’re part of the Star Wars franchise.

At the end, I got to see what was extracted from my skin during the treatment (see top image). According to Jessica, it wasn’t that bad considering I had never gotten a facial before. I was still pretty disgusted.

Since this treatment, I’ve had glowing skin for weeks now and will definitely be going back for a Chemical Peel next.
